NICOLE PANCINI
Nicole Pancini is originally from Northwest Indiana and received her BFA in Painting from Ball State University in Muncie, IN. She now lives in Boston where she received her MFA from Boston University's School of Visual Arts.
The art Nicole produces is usually done in watercolor, acrylic paint, collage, or some type of assemblage or installation. Using the languages of maps, geometric and organic forms, lines, and color, Nicole explores identity, change, time, and environment.
The chair Nicole decorated is a map of several islands with a charted route from one to the next. It deals with the stretched and condensed passage of time in academia and the graduation of subjects as a student learns.
